The algal extracts (35 μg/g) prepared in n-hexane (group I), dichloromethane (group II), ethyl acetate (group III) and hydroalcoholic solution (group IV) were incubated with B. jararaca venom (25 μg/g). Then, mixtures were injected into mice and hemorrhagic (Panel A) or edematogenic (Panel B) activities were analyzed, as described in methods.
