Effect of Tityus serrulatus scorpion venom (TsV) on peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) viability. PBMC (5 × 105 cells/well) were treated with different concentrations of TsV for 24 h, and cell viability was assessed by the MTT method. Cyclophosphamide (Cyclo; 25 mg/mL) was used as positive control. Results are expressed as mean (± SEM) percentage of cell viability calculated in relation to untreated cells (n = 6 experiments). *p < 0.05 and ***p < 0.001 vs. untreated cells
